Barranada In The News

June 2006: Nancy Moses Martin sold “Barranada Shirt Company” to Barbara and Gene Graves.

Barbara and Gene feel very fortunate to have been able to purchase Barranada Shirt Company from a person they very much admire---Nancy Moses. The Graves have admired the quality and workmanship of both the Men’s and Women’s elegant shirts since the founding of Nancy’s company in 1999 and are very excited to be able to continue this fine company.

The Graves retired from Barbara’s Family business after a 30 year career in the Bosselman Companies. The Bosselman Companies operate 7 Truck Stops throughout the mid-west along with 37 Pump & Pantry Convenience Stores located all across Nebraska along with Grandma Max Restaurants.

Barbara and Gene are both horse show competitors and show Quarter Horses throughout the country, specializing in Western Riding and showing in the Select Division of A.Q.H.A. They are also enjoying showing with their two grandchildren.

Both Barbara and Gene are very active in The American Quarter Horse Association with Gene being a National Director from Nebraska and Barbara is on the Amateur Committee plus they are both very active in the Nebraska Quarter Horse Association with Gene being President.

Barbara and Gene are very excited about the purchase of Barranada Shirt Company and would welcome your ideas and opinions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Again, thank you Nancy and Steve for all your help and encouragement with the new ownership.

BARRANADA COMPANY, LED BY ENTREPRENEUR NANCY MOSES,
RECEIVES NATIONAL ACCLAIM, EXPANDS PRODUCT LINE

Company Launches New Mid-Priced Line of Shirts

Chappell Hill, Texas, October, 2004 --- Barranada Company today announced that it has experienced tremendous growth and is expanding its Barranada Shirt Company product line.

"We have been overwhelmed by the demand for our Barranada shirts," stated Nancy Moses, Owner and Founder of Barranada. "Originally designed to meet the demand for fine, custom shirts for equestrians, these classic, timeless shirts have begun receiving recognition throughout the fashion industry."

"As part of our company's growth, we are adding a mid-priced range of shirts to further meet the desires of the marketplace," stated Moses.

"Our new mid-priced line of shirts includes a Ladies Classic White fitted shirt, as well as a Mens Chambray shirt. Both are made of exquisite 100% cotton fabric and are accented with the signature Barranada brand mother of pearl buttons," said Ms. Moses.

Ms. Moses is an entrepreneur and founder of numerous businesses as well as a world class cutting horse competitor. A rancher and designer, Ms. Moses began riding competitively at the age of 14 and has achieved national recognition in cutting horse events from Texas to Canada.

Ms. Moses is the granddaughter of the late famed Houston businessman, John W. Mecom, Sr. She founded Barranada in the spring of 1999, with the vision of carrying on the family tradition of the Bar Nothing brand, which is now the Barranada logo. Since the company's launch, Barranada's products have received national acclaim throughout the fashion industry and have been featured in publications including O Magazine, Allure, and Town & Country.

Barranada Shirt Company was founded by Ms. Moses in 1999 to serve the equestrian market. The shirts can now be seen from the Winners Circle to Madison Avenue. The collection consists of several classic styles for men and women, all in fresh colors and made of 100% cotton. The shirts are finely seamed and punctuated with mother of pearl logo buttons. They are sold in the company's headquarters and store based in Chappell Hill, Texas, online at www.barranada.com, and at numerous retail outlets across the country.

In 2003, Ms. Moses launched Barranada Genuine Alligator, featuring a line of accessories ranging from handbags to belts to alligator pillows. The origin of the alligator skins was the family's Southern Louisiana Marsh land, known for the highest quality of alligator skins available today. After the tremendous success of Barranada Genuine Alligator, Ms. Moses recently sold this business to refocus her efforts on the rapid growth and expansion of Barranada Shirt Company.
